How to create a good sleep routine for your child:

Tips for a safe and calm sleep time!

A good sleep routine is essential for the little ones – and not least for the tired parents. Sleep is important for children's development, but it can sometimes be a challenge to get the little ones to sleep well. With the right routines and products, you can create a safe sleeping environment that helps your child settle down. Here you will get some good advice to establish a healthy sleep routine and create the ideal sleeping space!

1. Establish a routine
Children thrive on a set framework, and a regular sleep routine can help them understand when it's time to settle down. Try to do the same activities every night before bed, such as:
  • A hot bath
  • A quiet game or bedtime story
  • A pleasant moment with a lullaby or quiet music
Once your child recognizes the routine, he will automatically begin to associate these activities with sleep.

2. Create a safe sleeping environment

It is important to create an environment that invites relaxation and calm. Make sure the room is dark, cool and quiet so your child can fall asleep undisturbed. Consider using soothing lighting such as a dim night lamp to create a safe atmosphere. In addition, a gentle white noise machine can help drown out sudden sounds that might otherwise wake your child.

3. Calm activities before bed

Make sure to round off the day with calm activities that do not overstimulate your child. This can be quiet play, a book or some quiet music. Avoid letting the child play wild games or watch television right before bed, as this can make it harder for him to settle down.

4. Soothing touch

A gentle massage or stroking your child's back can help create a sense of security and calm. Use possibly Mushie Baby oil, which is mild and moisturizing, and which leaves the child's skin soft and well cared for. It can also be a nice end to the day and part of a regular routine that the child learns to associate with bedtime.
